Eight months is certainly too short a period to conquer the world of games, but still enough to allow participants in the first in a row of the “Playing Narratives – from comics to games” program to get a glimpse into this fantastic world.
In a strong competition of almost 200 applicants, 15 of them passed the selection process, which was held in April. Next month they will complete the Narrative Playing program, organized by SGA in cooperation with the French and Goethe Institutes in Serbia, as well as other partners from Serbia, Germany, and France.
Honored to be a member of SGA, we were thrilled by the news that we’ll have a chance to host this inspiring group. Last Friday, our Love Story office was crowded, and that meant only one thing – interesting topics, numerous questions, and great participants! Nothing less was to be expected when such wonderful, curious, and creative people come to visit; their areas of interest are comic book cartoons, illustration, animation, creative writing, as well as modeling, and sound design.
Through our hanging time together, we did our best to support them find the answers to their burning questions – we marked all our artists with yellow balloons, our narrative and game designers with red balloons, and our sound designers with blue balloons. So, the Playing Narratives participants could more quickly find their career match by following the balloons 🙂
Friday afternoon couldn’t have gone any better, and we’re looking forward to meeting these lovely talented people again!
The popularization of the gaming industry as a career path for young professionals is our focus from the very beginning, so Nis is thrilled that there is such an organization as SGA with whom we share this common vision.
